Army ve­hi­cle in Trangie smash

EMER­GENCY ser­vices scram­bled to the scene of a mul­ti­ple ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent on the Mitchell High­way east of Trangie about 2pm last Friday, June 5, ar­riv­ing to find there’d been a head-on col­li­sion be­tween a Hyundai SUV and a 4WD Army ve­hi­cle tow­ing a trailer.

Po­lice al­lege the Hyundai had crossed to the op­po­site side of the road be­fore col­lid­ing with the 4WD, caus­ing it to roll sev­eral times.

The male and fe­male oc­cu­pants of the SUV were treated on scene for sus­pected in­ter­nal in­juries and were taken to Dubbo Base Hospi­tal.

Two pas­sen­gers in the 4WD, which con­tained six oc­cu­pants, sus­tained mi­nor in­juries and were con­veyed to Dubbo Base Hospi­tal.
