THE Dubbo Demons, un­der re­turn­ing Pres­i­dent and Dubbo Day Awardee, Joe Knagge, have in­tro­duced a “taste of Aussie Rules” mixed com­pe­ti­tion.

The Nines has six teams for the inau­gu­ral event with mixed age/mixed gen­der teams to en­cour­age new­com­ers and “lapsed” foot­ballers to get along to Ka­t­rina Gibbs Oval and have a go.

New coach Steve Smith will use this prepre-sea­son comp as an op­por­tu­nity to as­sess his charges be­fore the real pre-sea­son train­ing com­mences in the new year.
