MEET THE BOSS

-

Company: Indidg Connect I got involved in business...

because I wanted to see more acceptance, equality and equity for Aboriginal people in Dubbo. To listen to people about what they wanted and to create plans and pathways and to see that become their reality. Our business is known for... high impact real conversations based around doable action.

Our bestselling product is... our Garrariwibirra My role in the business is...

working with Aboriginal people to create plans to better their circumstance, build wealth from the income they already receive

According to my staff, working for me is...

meaningful and dynamic, lots of fun and always different.

I spend my down time... In my opinion, the biggest issue facing small businesses is... self-belief and I’m most proud of...

being able to stand up for what I believe in even though sometimes that has meant I am not liked or shamed.

When you were a child, what did you want to do when you grew up? I remember

when this question was asked at school the first time and it was profound to me. I just wanted to help people; I couldn’t think of anything else.

The best piece of career advice I can offer is... to upskill

yourself, always keep time set aside to relax and be kind.

And if I wasn’t in my current role, I’d... be very sad.
