Eddie thought of himself as a German first and a Jew second, he was sent to Auschwitz and Buchenwald. He survived by taking on metal engineering work , and when on a Nazi death march came onto Allied forces that came along that road. He married in the early 1950s, they migrated to Australia, and operated a successful business. He was recently on our TV media, aged 100.
