Academy students look to the future

-

The Central West Leadership Academy is a future focused school that is dedicated to maximising each student’s personal best.

We work with each student to develop self-regulation, determination and work ethic to help them realise their potential and work their way to achieving their goals.

The Academy is achieving some of the highest results in the country; our 2021 NAPLAN scores are among the highest not only in regional Australia but also nationwide.

We have also achieved best in Australia results in Future Problem Solving wherein we have two teams who are national champions representing Australia at the FPS International Finals in June in the US.

Our students are also national champions for debate and state champions in da Vinci Decathlon and Ethics Olympiad. “Basic skills are important, and we value those as seen in our NAPLAN results; the magic is in the deep, critical thinking and showing kids the relevance of the classroom to the real world,” said Mandi Randell, Academy Principal.

The Academy values critical and creative thinking as well as problem solving and working as a team. By developing these ‘soft skills’, learning how to learn and teaching each child to value investing in themselves, the Academy is able to foster the agile and flexible thinkers, learners and workers for the future.

“By keeping standards high and the curriculum challenging, exciting and relevant, we are able to help students see the ‘why’ of their learning. They learn to reflect on and value their own growth which gives them the agency and control over their progress,” said Ms Randell.

Enrolments are open now for years 1-10 for 2022. Reach out today to see if the Academy is right for your bright spark! Phone 6882 4216.
