THE THUMBS

-

Thumbs Up to the doctors and nurses in the emergency department at Dubbo Base Hospital and Wellington Hospital. And another thank you to Livebetter, my friends, family and partner. I couldn’t have done it without you, thanks for what you have done.

&

Thumbs Up to the Dubbo Regional Theatre - the line-up of shows this year has been amazing.

Thumbs Down to someone who tried to bait my dog into being rat poisoned. Luckily he will be okay. It could’ve been a mistaken bait, but not that it matters.

Thumbs Up to Councillors Josh Black, Pam Wells and Vicki Etheridge who are working so hard to create transparency at Dubbo Regional Council.

&

Thumbs Up to the Book Week story in Dubbo Photo News last week - that cover picture was simply divine. There’s few things that make me smile more than children enjoying their reading, it’s so important for their development.

&

Thumbs Up to our local firefighters from the Fire and Rescue stations at Dubbo, Delroy, Wellington and Narromine. These crews give up a lot with shift work, yet they’re not only protecting us when needed, they’re spending so much time assisting and educating the community to prevent fires and injuries in the first place.

&

Thumbs Up to Matt Lynch at My Tech Mate in Church Street who went out of his way to come to our house after hours to set up our new smart TV. He’s a very helpful young man. I’m glad I found out about him in an earlier edition of Dubbo Photo News.

&

Thumbs Up to the amazing, generous person who handed in my red wallet to Dubbo police station. My wallet was totally intact. I hope good fortune finds you with abundance. Thank you so very much.

Thumbs Up to the people always at the post office or local shops who are giving up their time to urge people to sign the petition to save Regand Park.

&

Thumbs Up to Orana Support Services - that organisation does so much for this community.

&

Thumbs Up to Optus for the amazing customer support I received this week - that company is light years in front of Telstra in every way.

&

Thumbs Up to Narromine grazier Bruce Maynard for winning Landcare’s highest national recognition, the Bob Hawke Landcare Award. It couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke.

&

Thumbs Up to the staff at the Medical Day Treatment Centre at Dubbo Base Hospital. Especially Jenny for your outstanding care.
