Clare’s Angels Sip and Graze

-

Clare’s Angels was formed in 2012 by a group of friends after Clare Diffey was diagnosed with a rare neurological regressive disorder called Rett Syndrome at 18 months old. Rett Syndrome affects one in 9000 girls, with boys more rarely affected. The clinical diagnosis has often been uncertain in early childhood as the symptoms may be confused with those occurring in other disorders such as autism, cerebral palsy and non-specific global developmental delay.

With further research the syndrome is now often confirmed with genetic testing. From 2012 Clare’s Angels have raised money for notfor-profit organisations benefitting children with special needs and disabilities, and Rett Syndrome research.

As a special honour what would have been Clare’s 15th birthday –
