Last Saturday’s mixed social bowls were not played due to Pennant Trial at Narromine Bowling Club, with Grades 4, 6, and 7, totalling 36 bowlers, travelling to Narromine on Saturday morning.

The mixed pairs final was played on Thursday morning with Laurace Lawson and Paul Wooldridge defeating Merrill O’sullivan and Peter Sinclair. This tightly-contested game of bowls went down to the last end and the second-last bowl to claim the win. The winner’s progression to the final resulted in four wins by just one shot!

In other news, the mixed fours are up for nomination with club officials to assist in the NSW state playoffs in March having

been rostered and the program posted on the Notice Board.

There will be no social bowls Tuesday and Wednesday, March 19–20, or on Tuesday, March 26, due to the NSW State

play-offs.

There will, however, be a lay-day during the play-offs which will be used as a mixed social day of bowls with the date and conditions to be finalised.
