New SK12SR mini-excavator is suited to working in confined spaces
Kobelco has introduced the new SK12SR mini-excavator, a 1.2-tonne model that sits between the company’s 1-tonne and 1.7-tonne machines.
The SK12SR is set to be launched officially on to the Australian market at the 2018 Diesel, Dirt & Turf Expo in Penrith, NSW from Friday to Sunday, April 13-15. The mini-excavator will form a central part of the Kobelco display.
The company says the new model is an easyto-use workhorse particularly suited to working in confined spaces and features pilot-controlled operation rather than front-control levers.
“Kobelco mini-excavators are known for their toughness and durability,” Kobelco general manager of sales and service Doug McQuinn says. “The SK12SR is a versatile machine, great for those jobs in closely confined spaces, and the pilot-controlled operation offers exceptional manoeuvrability that gives the operator the confidence and comfort to get the job done well.
“We released this machine to bridge the gap between the Kobelco SK008 and the SK17SR mini-excavators.
“You may be carrying out landscaping works, laying cable, or building verges – this is a stable machine with rugged construction and underside protection to keep your downtime down.”
The SK12SR comes with a four-year/4000-hour full warranty as standard.
“It’s the best of both worlds with this new model: power and precision without the bulk of a larger machine, plus a reliable warranty to back it up,” McQuinn says.
