Lit­er­ary Speed 'Dat­ing'

The City of Vin­cent is cel­e­brat­ing Li­brary Lovers’ Week with a lit­er­acy speed dat­ing event. Meet other book lovers and spend time talk­ing about books you love, hate or have re­cently read. Staff will ring a bell ev­ery three min­utes for peo­ple to move on and talk to oth­ers. Bring along your favourite book. This is not a ro­man­tic dat­ing event. Re­silience Work­shop

Chil­dren be­tween six and 12 years can test their re­silience by com­plet­ing dif­fer­ent art ac­tiv­i­ties. They will com­plete projects in­clud­ing a can­vas paint­ing. Your guide to a healthy biome with Natalie Wood­man

Health strate­gist and natur­opath Natalie Wood­man will teach peo­ple the tools needed to cre­ate a healthy gut mi­cro­biome. She will dis­cuss the link be­tween the gut mi­cro­biome, health and weight and how the gut mi­cro­biome in­flu­ences mood, ap­petite and sleep. Ms Wood­man works with clients across the globe and teaches them how sim­ple it is to trans­form their health without sup­ple­ments and us­ing only food to gain sus­tain­able health trans­for­ma­tions. Games ses­sion

The Bassendean Memo­rial Li­brary is hold­ing a se­ries of games dur­ing the Jan­uary school hol­i­days. There are card games, board games, Lego, racing car games and elec­tric cir­cuits that spin and whiz, Monopoly Ju­nior, Bat­tle­ships, Con­nect Four and more. Bring along your own games and start your own game cir­cle. The ses­sions are tech­nol­ogy free. WA Birds of Prey

Meet and touch live birds of prey and learn about their su­per­pow­ers. Chil­dren be­tween three and 12 will learn how to iden­tify birds of prey, learn about their diet and where they can be found in Aus­tralia.
