Literary Speed 'Dating'
The City of Vincent is celebrating Library Lovers’ Week with a literacy speed dating event. Meet other book lovers and spend time talking about books you love, hate or have recently read. Staff will ring a bell every three minutes for people to move on and talk to others. Bring along your favourite book. This is not a romantic dating event. Resilience Workshop
Children between six and 12 years can test their resilience by completing different art activities. They will complete projects including a canvas painting. Painting smocks are provided. Your guide to a healthy biome with Natalie Woodman
Health strategist and naturopath Natalie Woodman will teach people the tools needed to create a healthy gut microbiome. She will discuss the link between the gut microbiome, health and weight and how the gut microbiome influences mood, appetite and sleep. Ms Woodman works with clients across the globe and teaches them how simple it is to transform their health without supplements and using only food to gain sustainable health transformations. Games session
The Bassendean Memorial Library is holding a series of games during the January school holidays. There are card games, board games, Lego, racing car games and electric circuits that spin and whiz, Monopoly Junior, Battleships, Connect Four and more. WA Birds of Prey
Meet and touch live birds of prey and learn about their superpowers. Children between three and 12 will learn how to identify birds of prey, learn about their diet and where they can be found in Australia.
