Upgrades to clubrooms at Yokine Regional Open Space have proved a boost for the Coolbinia Bombers Junior Football Club. The City invested close to $700,000 in the refurbishments, which were carried out during the off season. The improvements include revamped change rooms, improved toilet facilities and other minor upgrades. The renovations also offer more function space for community groups keen to use the facility.

One of the largest junior sporting clubs in the City, the Coolbinia Bombers currently has more than 550 players. The club provides great opportunities for budding AFL stars of tomorrow and runs a successful initiative that encourages juniors of all abilities to be part of the Starkick program.
