KIDS can channel their inner pirates while finding treasure at the City of Bayswater’s libraries to celebrate Children’s Book Week from August 18 to 24.

In line with this year’s theme ‘find your treasure’, Bayswater, Maylands and Morley libraries will host pirate-themed parties on August 25.

There will be face painting, pirate stories, crafts and prizes for the bestdressed.

Mayor Dan Bull said hundreds of students would visit the libraries for school

excursions or with their families and friends.

“Amidst all the excitement, Book Week is the

ideal time to teach children the value and responsibility of having their own library card,” he said.
