Wonder Women Project first anniversary
FASHION and lifestyle blogger Mastura Koelmeyer founded the Wonder Women Project a year ago to highlight women’s achievements and careers.
“The Wonder Women Project is a platform aimed at professional and entrepreneurial creatives, business owners, start-ups, small businesses and strong women to connect, share, learn, support and grow together,” the Aveley resident said.
“The reason why I started it was to provide a safe place for women to come together and support one another.
“This project is about celebrating women through inspiration and empowerment.
“I host events to bring women together, celebrating the essence of what makes them women and sharing what they do in their lives.”
Passionate about social change, Mrs Koelmeyer said the highlight so far had been seeing people form friendships, with more than 100 women attending events over the past year.
As well as her blog, Missy-Lia, she contributes to an international modest fashion magazine.
GAYA magazine showcases the diversity, beauty and strength of Muslim women.
“I come from a diverse background; I am Eurasian, born in Canberra, grew up in Currambine and currently reside in Aveley,” she said.
“I am a mother of three children and a fulltime internal relations officer.”
To celebrate the project’s first anniversary, Mrs Koelmeyer will hold an event at Feld & Co in Booragoon on November 11, 9.30am-noon.
