SWAN View taekwondo athlete Shante Regnault (11) has won three national titles despite just starting the martial art five years ago.

Regnault, who trains at ATI Martial Arts in Malaga, won the aged 10-11 years category at the national championships in Bendigo last month.

She won the same category last year and the aged 8-9 years category in 2016, along with three state titles to date.

The West Balcatta Primary School student was proud to have won her third national title because she “gave it her all”.

“I just like training hard with my teammates and trying to improve all the time and getting better,” she said.

“My goal is to go to the Olympics one day and just to hopefully do well in lots of competitions.”

She is preparing for an ATI meet in November.

The club brought home seven gold, four silver and seven bronze medals between its Poomsae and sparring teams at the championships.
