INSTA-FABULOUS

Inspiration from some of our favourite food and travel influencers on the ‘gram.

From a very young age I was bitten by the travel bug. There was a voice inside my head that was constantly telling me I had to travel the world, and so I did. When I finished school I started travelling while studying and I got obsessed with it! Hence why I decided that I wanted to share my biggest love and make everyone passionate about traveling. This is when my @katemeets page started and it ended up being my real job. Creating content at the most epic places in the world can never be compared to a 9-5 job. So grateful to be able to live the life of dreams!"

My name is Annie and I am a Sydney food and lifestyle influencer and content creator. Inspired by my love of photography and food, I started my blog over three years ago and have loved the experience of being able to work with some of the most talented people and brands in the hospitality industry. I have a passion for creating content that resonates with my audience and always searching for the best food and lifestyle products in Sydney and all over Australia and sharing that with the community.

Back in January 2018, Lola Hubner left her full time job in Sydney Australia to chase her dreams of traveling the world. She set off with her partner Jirapan on a year long backpacking adventure around South East Asia and they’ve been on the road ever since. Lola has been able to turn her passion for travel and photography into a full time career by documenting and sharing her global adventures to her Instagram page @lolahubner. She continues to create new memories and share her raw travel moments in hopes of inspiring a little wanderlust in everyone she meets along the way!”

Before I was a photographer for cafe, restaurants, and food products in New South Wales, I worked in the food and beverage industry for 15 years. Food has always been my passion and while I am very fortunate to be amongst some of the best food and fresh produce in the world, I feel more fortunate to be working as a content creator, eating and photographing my way around the country, making new friends, meeting industry leaders, it is a dream come true.

My favourite meal is a simple Japanese dish, sashimi. While I love all types of cuisine, I love Japanese cuisine for its simplicity. I also love to photograph Japanese food for that same reason. Japanese chefs have a great aptitude for not just cooking but also presentation, so it’s not a surprise to want to create content that does their dishes justice. I also love a hearty, double cheeseburger, or a scotch fillet steak with herb butter.

I love to create content that is not only beautiful but also fun and exciting; think scenes filled with vibrant colour, contrast, sunlight, or lots of mood and dense shadow. I try to create content that captures the moment by telling a story, something that is sometimes quite hard in food photography, but it’s an ongoing challenge that drives me to always want to create the perfect narrative.

My ultimate goal is to travel to every country and try their cuisine by region, blogging and photographing as many types of food and food venues as possible. It’s hard right now during COVID, but hopefully soon!

A specialist interiors business has played a key role in the transformation of a landmark Lake District inn. Ghyll House Upholstery and Design was part of the team involved in the multi-million pound revamp of The Coniston Inn, formerly The Waterhead Hotel, on the shores of Coniston Water in the English Lake District. The historic 42-bedroom pub with rooms reopened following an 18-month redevelopment. As part of the work, the Ghyll House team created curtains and blinds throughout the venue, and recovered chairs in the bedrooms and fixed seating in the bar area. The Ghyll House team worked on dozens of pieces of furniture at their base at Mealsgate, near Cockermouth, using a specific palette of fabrics, which was in keeping with the new look of the inn.
