My name is Alex and I am a Romanian visual storyteller. I started my adventure into food photography and videography a couple of years ago after I left London to move into a small city in Germany. Moving to Germany had everything to do with my journey into food photography because here I was given the opportunity to grow my own food and that inspired me to take this road that I find myself on right now. Shortly after I discovered how much I love gardening, I got into making sourdough bread too which is pretty much my favourite activity when it comes to cooking and baking and also my favourite subject to photograph. I am grateful that I found a way to tell a different story every time, and also to create emotions that touch people. I can happily say that photography helped me find my voice.
Food has always been my passion as we own a farm and produce innovative products. I wanted to share recipes and photos that really didn’t do justice to the taste of those delicious dishes. That is how it all started. After a lot of studying and even more practice I proudly call food photography a hobby that I turned into business. My work was recognised worldwide as I was also the finalist in Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year 2020. I am forever grateful my true passion inspires people around the world.
Hi, I am Marija, the blogger, photographer, stylist, and cook behind the Hungry Apron. I am originally from Montenegro, but after years of traveling and studying abroad, I now live in the Italian countryside with my husband and our dog. The countryside is also my workplace and my big inspiration. My home traditions and family recipes, combined with the unique Italian way of living, inspire me every day.
