Incredible Places - Tasman Island, Australia

Tasman Island is an important breeding site for fairy prions and supports 1% of the species world population. The island is surrounded by steep dramatic dolerite cliffs and is home to the Tasman Island automated Lighthouse and weather station. While it isn’t possible to visit the island, once per year fund-raising helicopter flights to the island are organised by The Rotary Club of Tasman Peninsula to coincide with the anniversary of the opening of the lighthouse.
