Quick & Easy Cinnamon Scrolls

A quick easy scroll version without yeast that are best eaten on the day of baking.

Ingredient­s

2 cups self-raising flour 2 tablespoon­s castor sugar 3 tablespoon­s butter

3/4 cup milk

1 egg

Filling

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1/4 cup softened butter mix all together

Frosting

1/2 cup cream cheese softened

1 cup icing sugar

1/3 cup softened butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract mix together to make smooth frosting

Method

1. Preheat oven to 200C degrees.

2. In a bowl rub in butter to flour, sugar adding in milk and egg lightly beaten work in to a dough.

3. Roll out dough on a lightly floured bench forming into a rectangle.

4. Spread with filling mix and roll up into a log slice into scrolls, place scrolls almost touching into a paper lined baking tray brushed with a little melted butter.

5. Bake in your preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

6. Top hot cinnamon rolls with the cream cheese icing mix (drizzle or spread) and enjoy.
