While White has held a deep in­ter­est in games for al­most his en­tire life, he’s largely stayed away from them in his work. There was a com­mis­sion for Cap­com at the launch of Street Fighter IV, but by and large White keeps hobby and work sep­a­rate. COD4, things like that – when you can’t play the games any­more, you’ll still be able to re­call ev­ery door­way, ev­ery sight­line, in pho­to­re­al­is­tic de­tail. I think it might be in­ter­est­ing to paint them, so once the games are gone, these places live on.”
