NET GAIN

-

Online multiplayer was the most highly requested feature for the sequel, and Ghost Town Games has done an admirable job of implementing it. Setting up a lobby to play with either friends or strangers is easy to do, and the netcode is largely stable (although when it lags, you’ll know). The lack of in-game voice chat is a savvy decision, given the younger-skewing audience. An emote wheel provides a mostly successful method of communication – even if remote co-op just isn’t the same as sitting on the same couch, and we do miss having a designated “swear” button.
