BALANCING ACT
As is Dark Pictures tradition, House Of Ashes has its single designated famous face – in this case, High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale, playing against type as non-singing “queen bitch” commander Rachel King. She does well with some occasionally stodgy material but for our money is outshone by some of the less well-known cast members – in particular Paul Zinno as Jason, managing to bring a charismatic spark to a character we start out hoping to see disembowelled.
