Keeping an eye on the coin-op gaming scene

- Game Rush Manufacturer Stern Pinball

If you’re going to make a pinball table themed around a band, it’s not a bad idea to go for one whose fanbase has a bit of loose change sloshing around – especially if you’re lining up a special edition costing $11,099. This is Stern’s approach for its new Rush tie-in, which immediately caused a stir among moneyed fans of the Canadian rock band, who snapped up all 1,000 within days of its unveiling.

If you’re an arcade operator rather than a collector, the Pro ($6,899) and Premium ($8,999) models are still available, and though they won’t deliver the Limited Edition’s Expression Lighting System™ (with 96 “intelligent” RGB LEDs), like their swankier brother they include 16 songs, custom speech from band members, and exclusive concert footage.
