DON’T FEAR THE REAPER

Endwalker introduces two new jobs, Sage and Reaper, the latter entirely new to the series and a great pick for DPS players who like to get in close while having the option to teleport away. Both, however, start ten levels lower than the requirement to begin the expansion’s story, meaning they’re not ideal for players who want to get stuck in straight away without some serious grinding first. Of course, sticking to your current job is just as viable, and you can learn more abilities by partaking in Role Quests, first introduced in Shadowbringers, which replaced the class- or job-based quests. The stories told here are also a worthwhile excuse to revisit old comrades. For example, the ranged DPS’s quest takes you back to the kingdom of Doma from Stormblood.
