Executive Golf DX
A golf game is a must for any handheld, and Playdate’s is fittingly unorthodox. It’s also, unfortunately, the runt of the season-one litter. Your job is to climb through a multi-storey building, negotiating a range of cluttered office spaces as you try to get your ball to the lift. Though taking shots is steadfastly traditional, the environments are anything but, their cramped spaces profoundly annoying to get through despite – and occasionally because of – power-ups that make the ball sticky or affect its gravity. With unreliable physics and unclear visuals (the ball collides with shadows), it’s a baffling, frustrating mess.
