Marvel Snap Android After months of matches against strangers whose only means for boiling our blood is a pass-agg Ms Marvel thumbs-up emoji at the wrong moment, it’s strange to find ourselves sitting across a pub table from our opponent. This is courtesy of the new ‘Friendly Battle’ mode, a misnomer if ever we’ve heard one. Its genius lies in switching up the stakes of the betting mechanic from which Snap takes its name: instead of your ranking, the ante here is a growing chunk of each player’s health bar, giving matches the feel of a tense face-off in Street Fighter. As in that game, you’re playing multiple rounds against the same opponent – a chance to learn their deck and devise counters that kick out its legs from under it. After one particularly brutal defeat, we almost miss the distance of that old anonymity.

Gran Turismo 7 PSVR2 ‘Immersive’ is one of those words that gets thrown around far too often, especially when it comes to VR. But how else to describe the experience of slipping into Polyphony’s opus in VR, with Pulse headphones and a Logitech force-feedback wheel? It’s so enveloping that a friend (the one lending us said wheel) takes off the headset to discover a bloody accident, of which they’d been blissfully unaware while racing Japan’s iconic High-Speed Ring.

The Murder Of Sonic The Hedgehog PC Corporate April Fools gags and Sonic The Hedgehog – these are very much not a few of our favourite things. But the promise of Sega murdering its own mascot is irresistible (although some might argue it achieved this already with Frontiers), and this handsomely presented visual novel has been given a surprising amount of care, even if the actual detective work is ultimately a little shallow.
