Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at The Perth Property Co. I'm the licensee at The Perth Property Co, which is a small agency offering a service a little different to a traditional real estate agency. My partner Dan and I are the business owners and also the sales team, and we offer clients a complimentary styling and staging service.

What motivated you to get into real estate? I'm a licensed finance broker; I worked closely with many real estate agents, and this led me to the idea of extending my skill set and venturing into real estate as the industries go hand in hand.

What is the market like in your area right now? The West Coast market has been challenging, but we've still been very busy. Our styling and staging service has helped us achieve some good results for our sellers. Buyers have become very savvy and expect homes to be presented in ‘show home' condition, so we believe that not only does your pricing need to be competitive and marketing at a high level, but the home needs to make an amazing first impression across all advertising platforms and at inspections. Who or what inspires you? Anne-Maree Russell and Luke Russell( Cape Cod Residential-Brisbane ). I love what they do. They're the true pioneers of styling, staging and selling homes here in Australia.

In your ‘briefcase' right now is… The Reed Gift Fair directory (I'm looking at buying more stock for our styling inventory) plus my iPad. I try to run a paperless office with everything being digital and on Dropbox or in the cloud.

Something (or someone) you couldn't live without? My spin class membership! No, really – and I know it sounds a little corny – but I'd be lost without Dan. He's my business partner, spouse, friend, father to our daughter, confidant... we work really well together.

What do you enjoy most about Elite Agent? I love hearing about the new innovative approaches to real estate, seeing the successes that people are having and also the challenges that we all face.

What apps do you use most at the moment on your iPhone or iPad? I'm obsessed with Canva; it's a great little design tool for Instagram and Facebook. I also love using the Price-Finder and RP Data apps too – they're lifesavers!

What advice would you give someone starting out in real estate? Find someone who will nurture your ambition and not be threatened by your tenacity, hunger and drive. Someone who will allow you to explore your creative ideas, yet help you to keep your feet on the ground and be happy to share their experiences with you.

Any words to live by? Back yourself more, dare to be different, always look on the bright side, have less doubt and embrace the adventures that life brings!
