GOLDEN RULES

Six guidelines to follow (no matter how little sleep you’ve had)

-

1. If in doubt, vote it out. Remember it’s a democracy, so you’re not going to get your way every time.

2. The Designated Trip Organiser always gets first dibs.

3. Don’t lump your single friend with the same costs that a couple are splitting between two. Or with the sofa bed. Keep in mind that at some point in the future, the shoe may be on the other foot (or she’ll spend a weekend blowing up inflatable penises in your name).

4. Travelling in a large group won’t be as efficient as it is with just a few people. So spread out those five gallery visits, three natural wine bars and the trip to an obscure, hard-to-find vintage store over a few days, instead of one.

5. Never, ever itemise a restaurant bill. Entering into The Great Soup Vs Steak Debate of 2017 is the quickest way to put a damper on your night.

6. Make sure your chosen digs has three things: a dishwasher, ample room for dancing and a bathroom-to-person ratio that’s no higher than 1:2.
