HOW I’M WIRED

Sarah Ellen’s secret geeky pleasures (from steamers to smoothie makers).

1. APPLE Airpods

($229, apple.com/au)

I love that I can be super mobile when I’m wearing these, and still be productive while I’m on the phone. Plus I feel like I’m at a silent disco when I listen to music.

2. NUTRIBULLET Balance ($279.99, originalnutribullet.com.au)

I try to have one green smoothie a day. I think it’s the trick to good skin. I always have spinach leaves, passionfruit yoghurt, pineapple, banana, honey and coconut water.

3. BELKIN Boost Up Special Edition Wireless Charging Pad ($89.95, apple.com/au)

With my job, it’s important people can communicate with me 24/7, so I can’t be without this to charge all my devices.

4. PHILIPS Steam&go Handheld Garment Steamer

($119, philips.com.au)

This hand-sized steamer is so handy for when I’m travelling — especially for fashion week. I can’t always guarantee there’ll be an iron where I’m staying, so I carry this with me.

5. NESPRESSO Vertuo Plus coffee machine ($299, nespresso.com/au)

I use this every day — I can’t leave the house without my caffeine hit. I take my used coffee pods back to the store so they can be recycled.

FILM CAMERAS

I use film cameras, rather than digital. I take my 35mm Leica everywhere; it’s the most convenient camera for good-quality photos. I just bought a Nikon Film SLR from the markets in Paris. You can change the lenses, so it’s a good one for photography nerds.

INFRARED SAUNA ($45 for 45 minutes, nimbusco.com.au)

I do an infrared sauna session once a week. There are so many benefits for your skin and health. I’m in there for about half an hour and I’ll usually read a book or take my phone in.
