Cricket legends to visit Euroa - save the date

Euroa Gazette - - NEWS -

LAST week, the Euroa Cricket Club announced that it was proud to be organising another Sportsman’s Night with two legends of Australian cricket at the Memorial Oval, Euroa Community and Function Centre, on Friday, February 8 next year.

The has been informed that both these legends are absolute champions of the game and that one is a former captain of the Australian team.

Lorraine Lease, one of the event organisers, makes the point that, “We are incredibly lucky to have sportsmen of this magnitude come up to our lovely small town”.

This event, unlike the last which was held on a Tuesday, will be held at the end of the week on a Friday so no work the next day for many of us means that those attending can really enjoy the night.

If you don’t live in or around Euroa and you plan to stay overnight in town, the cricket club suggests that you book your accommodation as soon as possible as vacancies are limited at this busy time of year.

The last Sportsman’s Night organised by the Euroa Cricket Club with Sir Ian Botham and Dean Jones had quite a lot of people from NSW, other regional areas of Victoria and from Melbourne attend so the club is hoping that people will spread the word that this forthcoming event will be even bigger.

The cricket club is currently keeping the visiting cricket legend’s names under wraps but have promised that more details will be released in the coming months.

Tickets should be available before Christmas and will make great Christmas gifts.

The last event was a sell out and organisers are confident that this event will also be sold out soon after they go on sale.
