The next meet­ing of the Long­wood Ac­tion Group will be held on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 17, at 7.30pm in the Long­wood Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. Every­one wel­come.

Come and check out the new look White Hart and soak up some lo­cal mu­sic, wines and great food.

New trad­ing hours as of this week are Mon­day and Tues­day CLOSED, WedSun lunch 12-2pm and din­ner 6-8:30pm. Bar open­ing hours Wed 12-9pm, Thurs, Fri and Sun 12 til late and Sat 11-late.

Aus­tralia Day 2018 nom­i­na­tions are now open.

Cat­e­gories are Com­mu­nity Or­gan­i­sa­tion, Com­mu­nity Event, Ju­nior Cit­i­zen (un­der 15 years), Young Cit­i­zen (age be­tween 15 and 25) and Cit­i­zen of the Year. Nom­i­na­tions close on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 1 at 5pm.

So, get your think­ing caps on - forms are avail­able from the Long­wood Store.

Vot­ing is open for the Pick My Projects grants ini­tia­tive.

Long­wood has two projects listed - the Long­wood beer, wine and cider fes­ti­val and up­grades to the Long­wood Com­mu­nity Cen­tre.

So please hop onto the web­site at pick­mypro­ject.vic.gov. au as ev­ery vote counts for our com­mu­nity en­ter­prises!

Save the date for Sun­day, Novem­ber 4, for the Long­wood Com­mu­nity Pic­nic Day to be held at the bar­be­cue at the Pub Pad­dock.

Play Group and Sto­ry­time is now be­ing held at Long- wood Pri­mary School on Mon­days from 10:30am.

Chil­dren be­tween the age of 0-5 years are wel­come to at­tend.

Cof­fee, tea and a small free morn­ing tea is pro­vided.
