Historical Society activities in Wool Week
THE EUROA Historical Society will once again be enthusiastically joining in the Wool Week activities.
During Wool Week the Museum will be open on Sunday October 28 and Wednesday November 31 from 1pm to 4pm.
The Entry fee is $5 for adults and $1 for children aged 5 to 12 years.
The Society will not only be entering a float in the parade itself, but will also be manning a stall in Binney Street selling local history books including their first Historical Calendar of Euroa (2019) and other items during the Traders Market activities on Parade morning Saturday November 3.
The stall will be set up in front of the Euroa Library and the Museum will again be open from 2pm to 4pm after the morning activities in Binney Street.
On Sunday, November 4 the Society will once more be conducting its popular Heritage Day activities.
All are invited to come along and join in the fun of turning back the calendar and getting involved in a range of activities of yesteryear such as shearing, Mum and Dad vintage style, butter making, corn-cobbing, chaff cutting, rope making and blacksmithing.
There will of course be plenty of food including a sausage sizzle, tea, coffee and cakes and, music from The Ukulele Group and a whole lot of other activities to enjoy.
FORGING THE PAST: Local blacksmith Geoff Belcher will demonstrate his blacksmith skills that have been passed down through his family.
