Local man launches book

Euroa Gazette - - NEWS -

LOCAL man Bruce Hargrave will be showing off his new book, The Chef Shot Through, to the community on Thursday, November 15 2.00pm at the Euroa Library.

The book comprises fifteen songs which he will present with guitar accompaniment on the day.

Each of the songs throughout the book is accompanied by Bruce’s own illustrations, created with his water colour paintings.

The concert style presentation takes a little over an hour and the songs vary greatly in content from serious to not serious.

A number of songs are locally motivated, referencing Creightons Creek, Strathbogie and Dookie.

Mr Hargrave has said the inspiration for my songs and poems springs from the observation of everyday incidents, connecting with love, an- noyance, quirkiness and nearly always humour.

“The passion to express these feelings is often bubbling near the surface and takes great delight in their expression through alliteration, rhyme and the arrangement of words,” he said.

“The Chef Shot Through” will be available for $14.95 with a quarter of all sales going to Euroa Health.
