Red Cross volunteers keep busy despite the year being almost over

Euroa Gazette - - NEWS -

EVEN though the year is drawing to a close, the local Red Cross continues to be active and out and about in the community.

Currently, the Euroa members are selling raffle tickets for their final fundraising effort for the year.

As in other years, there are delicious, home- baked and iced Christmas cakes as prizes.

Raffle tickets will be on sale outside Burtons in early December so watch out and purchase tickets with all money raised going to Red Cross International to support their various causes.

In December, the group will hold a brief meeting on Thursday, December 6 prior to lunch and socialising at the Seven Creeks Hotel.

All current and past members are invited to attend this final activity for the year, but it would be advised to contact Pam Case, Bev Asquith or Annette Cocking which will assist with booking numbers at the hotel.

The group will go into recess briefly over the Christmas period but will no doubt start preparations early for ‘ Red Cross Calling’ in March.
