Helping deal with grief of loved ones over the holidays

Euroa Gazette - - NEWS -

WHEN you’re living within grief it’s hard to handle all the decorations, fun and activities that are a part of the season of Christmas.

Feeling numb and empty inside and simply not “getting into the spirit” is understandable especially when everyone else seems to be festive and happy.

No one can really make anything better for you or change how you are feeling.

Bette Phillips and Carol Stevens are the facilitators of the First Steps Grief Support group based in the Strathbogie Shire, and this year they are delivering something special.

Along with the generous support of local funeral director, Broderick Floyd they are organising a Christmas Service which will be held at the Mark J. Floyd Chapel Binney Street Euroa on Thursday December 13 at 7pm.

Sometimes getting together with others and spending some time amongst people who care and are in the same situation can ease it a little.

Everyone is welcome to attend the session and if you have any queries you can phone Carol on 0413 883 487 or Bette on 0409 788 883.
