Nagambie Golf Club - Men
THE monthly medal on Sunday, November 2 at Nagambie Golf Club was tough going with a blustery south wind swirling across the course and sticky lies making low scoring difficult.
This however did not deter the day’s winner, Glen Evans, from bagging his first monthly medal at the club.
Evans shot an 83-13-70 with a solid display of driving and good iron play around the greens.
The runner up, for the second week in a row, went to Shaun Bryant with a round of two halves.
He had a 46 on the front nine then an even with the card, 36 back nine, signing for 82-11-71 showing what he can do when he gets it right.
Next best score were Alby Seenan and Shaun Spicer both with a nett 71.
The nearest the pins were hard going due to the unpredictable wind gusts with only the 13th and 16th being achieved.
Dean Brown won on the 13th and Glen Evan’s good day continued with an impressive strike onto the 16th.
Next week’s golf is the annual cross country event on a composite course with the Ray Cassar Memorial trophy on offer.
G Bow will be on office duty and B. Leviston in the bar.
