Christmas Market in Euroa
THE monthly Euroa Farmers Market will be held in Rotary Park, shaded by the big old gum trees, this Saturday from 9am.
The park will be filled with stalls that sell local produce and crafts from tomatoes and flowers to knitted toys and 2019 calendars.
Spend the morning browsing the market, relax and take your time sipping on coffee, sampling Strathbogie Brewery Beer, chewing on Aintree Almond nougat or getting stuck into a Rotary club egg and bacon muffin.
So much food will be available for sale all freshly grown and harvested.
There will be cherries and hopefully more oysters for sale as well as Euroa Fine Foods perfect Christmas puddings.
As Christmas is just around the corner there are plenty of gifts you can buy at the market and have a chat with the big man in red.
Santa will be visiting the market from 10.30am to 11.30am to say hello, listen to any requests and pose for as many photos as you like.
Katelyn Sullivan is a young talented musician who will be playing some beautiful music all morning.
More young people will attend - Year 8 Euroa Secondary College students will have a stall to raise funds to subsidise the costs of the School for Student Leadership program - designed to develop the leadership and teamwork skills of the selected students with others from around the state.
At this program, which is held at Dinner Plain in the Alpine Region, students develop and prepare a community project which they then bring back to Euroa in order to give back to the community.
Next to them will be some older Euroa residents from Currie Park selling some gorgeous Christmas painted plates perfect for every Christmas day dinner table.
You may also notice a few Euroa CFA members wondering around, not putting out fires but instead selling raffle tickets to raise funds for their brigade.
There is so much happening at the Market this month besides all the wonderful food and local goods.
And remember that all products are made by the person smiling at you from the other side of the table.
