Christ­mas Mar­ket in Euroa

THE monthly Euroa Farm­ers Mar­ket will be held in Ro­tary Park, shaded by the big old gum trees, this Satur­day from 9am.

The park will be filled with stalls that sell lo­cal pro­duce and crafts from toma­toes and flow­ers to knit­ted toys and 2019 cal­en­dars.

Spend the morn­ing brows­ing the mar­ket, re­lax and take your time sip­ping on cof­fee, sam­pling Strath­bo­gie Brew­ery Beer, chew­ing on Ain­tree Al­mond nougat or get­ting stuck into a Ro­tary club egg and ba­con muf­fin.

So much food will be avail­able for sale all freshly grown and har­vested.

There will be cher­ries and hope­fully more oys­ters for sale as well as Euroa Fine Foods per­fect Christ­mas pud­dings.

As Christ­mas is just around the cor­ner there are plenty of gifts you can buy at the mar­ket and have a chat with the big man in red.

Santa will be vis­it­ing the mar­ket from 10.30am to 11.30am to say hello, lis­ten to any re­quests and pose for as many pho­tos as you like.

Kate­lyn Sul­li­van is a young tal­ented mu­si­cian who will be play­ing some beau­ti­ful mu­sic all morn­ing.

More young peo­ple will at­tend - Year 8 Euroa Se­condary Col­lege stu­dents will have a stall to raise funds to sub­sidise the costs of the School for Stu­dent Lead­er­ship pro­gram - de­signed to de­velop the lead­er­ship and team­work skills of the se­lected stu­dents with oth­ers from around the state.

At this pro­gram, which is held at Din­ner Plain in the Alpine Re­gion, stu­dents de­velop and pre­pare a com­mu­nity project which they then bring back to Euroa in or­der to give back to the com­mu­nity.

Next to them will be some older Euroa res­i­dents from Currie Park sell­ing some gor­geous Christ­mas painted plates per­fect for ev­ery Christ­mas day din­ner ta­ble.

You may also no­tice a few Euroa CFA mem­bers won­der­ing around, not putting out fires but in­stead sell­ing raf­fle tick­ets to raise funds for their bri­gade.

There is so much hap­pen­ing at the Mar­ket this month be­sides all the won­der­ful food and lo­cal goods.

And re­mem­ber that all prod­ucts are made by the per­son smil­ing at you from the other side of the ta­ble.
