Two draws and a win from the three sides
IT was a good result this past week from the midweek pennant players when division two had a win and divisions three and five drew with their opponents.
Division two played at Tatura and won 65/62.
P Naylor (s), T Kingma, M Bruce, B O’Connor defeated D Best 22/17.
J Jennings (s), B Diffey, L Fischer, D Lomer drew with J Andrus 24/23
L Byrne (s), A Sutcliffe, K Stevens, C Dingemans lost to F Clement 19/21.
Division three played Kyabram at Euroa and drew with the visitors 66/66.
B Harris (s), R Goldsworthy, B Whitelaw, D Tiller defeated J Breen 28/14.
M Goode (s), N Harris, A McIntosh, B Harrison lost to J MacFadyen 17/26.
M Steen (s), B Jennings, P Cunnew, B Alston lost to D Grills 21/26.
Division five travelled to Shepparton Golf and they drew with them 49/49.
M Davidson (s), I South, V Weinberg, C Williams defeated A Matthews 24/23.
N Boz (s), E Harrison, M Lund, J O’Connor lost to M Beecroft 25/26.
Yesterday was the last match before the Christmas break and all three sides were home.
Division two played Kyabram, division three played Hill Top and Division five were up against Dookie.
Play will then resume on January 15, 2019.
Don’t forget the Christmas party this Sunday.

BAREFOOT bowls: From 6pm this Thursday night, BYO nibbles/tea, flat soled shoes or healthy feet, bowls if you have some, and come try bowls.
We have games with foam bowls for the kids to try.
We’d love to see you there and it will only cost $5.
Midweek Division 5: On Tuesday, December 4, Violet Town travelled to Seymour.
There were some issues with one rink and bowling to the right amount of grass proved a problem however the team had great success on the day winning 71/28 (14-0).
E Anderson, D Underwood, P Delahey, K Byrne defeated M Flynn 37/10.
H Biach, M Delahey, G Tilbrook, L Russell-Jones defeated J McCarthy 34/18.
Weekend Division 5: This week Violet Town travelled to Colbinabbin.
Conditions were overcast and very warm.
The team were missing the team captain, Keith Beaton, however they had a good day overall with two rinks in tough tussles.
Violet Town won 66/58 (14-2).

G Jones, D Taylor, L Russell-Jones, G Tilbrook defeated J Vale 21/20.
D Underwood, W Wood, M Delahey, J Duncan lost to R Rathjen 20/22.
Social bowls: On Friday afternoon, from 4.30, there are generally a few people around to have a roll with.
