Shop local and win
THIS year’s ‘Shop Local and Win’ Christmas promotion is brought to you by the Euroa Chamber of Commerce (formerly Business Euroa), Thomson’s Home Furnishers and the Euroa Gazette.
The promotion runs until 5pm, December 24, with shoppers who spend $25 or more in one transaction at a participating business, eligible for a ticket.
This year’s fantastic prizes are:
1st prize - $ 1000 voucher: which can be spent at any business which is a member of the Euroa Chamber of Commerce and can be split into $500 amounts if required.
2nd prize - $ 750 voucher ( from Thomson’s Home Furnishers), which can be spent on any range in store.
3rd prize - $ 250 hamper ( from Thomson’s Home Furnishers) comprising mainly homeware items and Jaycar products.
Chamber president Stephanie Swift, of Thomson’s Home Furnishers. said there is a wonderful wide range of businesses in town and whoever wins the promotion will have a great time spending the first prize.
“With local business support, this promotion keeps growing every year, and always has a great response both from people passing through and from locals,” she said.
The 2017 promotion saw 3291 entries with a total of more than $360,000 spent and/or importantly retained in the local business community.
Ms Swift said Christmas trading is massive for such a wide range of businesses, not only retail.
“It is so important for people who live in Euroa and surrounding areas to support their locals shops and businesses, especially around this time of year,” she said.
“Local businesses support the local sporting clubs, events, schools, fundraisers and raffles.
“It is amazing to be able to support these, so shopping locally not only keeps the money in our amazing town but circulates around everyone at some stage.”
The chamber has organised two late night shopping nights for Christmas, so hopefully anyone that usually cannot get to the shops during the normal trading hours can come down and have a great time doing their shopping in town.
Tomorrow, December 13 and next Thursday, December 20, the shops will be open until 7pm.
Santa will be available for photos during this time, so bring your camera or phone and get your families photos with Santa Claus.
The chamber would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES: Stephanie Swift is encouraging all towns’ people to shop locally and if so, they will be in the running for some great prizes.
