Euroa B grade bats­men fall short against Kyabram

EUROA B grade crick­eters hosted Kyabram at the Me­mo­rial Oval on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 15.

Euroa lost the toss and was sent into bat.

Euroa opener, Justin El­lis, con­tin­ued his good form mak­ing a team high of 26 runs while open­ing part­ner Robert­son fell for just one.

Mid­dle or­der bats­man L Hill (12) and A El­lis (18) looked to be solid be­fore fall­ing to the Kyabram bowlers.

Kyabram’s bowlers were on top right through­out the in­nings to knock Euroa over for just 79.

With just 79 runs to de­fend Euroa were al­ways up against it.

D Moloney was the pick of the bowlers with 3/43.

R Downie (2) and N Dow­ell (1) were able to bring some heat, good line and length bowl­ing to fin­ish off the day’s play.

Next week Euroa has the big task of try­ing to get a re­verse out­right win against Kyabram.
