Euroa Gazette - - FRONT PAGE - By DION GRANT

EUROA returned to play Kyabram, in the second innings, at the Memorial Oval on Saturday, December 22.

Overnight the Kyabram boys made the call to declare just six wickets down and 51 runs in front and to send Euroa into bat again.

Brothers, Justin (25) and Ash Ellis (14) opened the batting for the first time ever in a match.

K Robertson (22) battled hard at number three, batting for a total of 145 minutes as wickets fell around him.

Euroa managed to get ahead by 44 runs but it just wasn’t enough.

Early wickets to Nick and Riley Dowell and a spectacular run out from A Ellis gave Euroa a glimmer of hope.

In the end Kyabram passed the runs comfortably with just the three wickets down.

This week Euroa travel to Tallygaroopna to play Northerners.
