New TracMac’s Straw Applicator set for release
New TracMac’s Straw Applicator will be released at Farm World 2024.
After receiving a request from a local dairy farmer who was looking for a machine to spread straw onto his calving pad and sheds, the team at TracMac Farm Equipment researched and built the allnew TracMac’s Straw Applicator.
Designed to hold and simultaneously feed out two large square bales, the straw applicator is a very easy machine to operate with its allhydraulic drive system.
A rear mounted horizontal rotor consistently and evenly breaks up the straw bales while a unique twin ram push bar system pushes the bales into the rotor via a variable speed control valve.
The whole system only requires one set of remotes to operate with around 40 ltrs per minute oil flow.
This makes them suitable to use with smaller utility sized tractors.
The large square bales are placed on the machine on their sides, so it makes it much easier to remove the strings, and due to its design featuring very few moving parts, the straw applicator is very easy to service and maintain.
When fitted with TracMac’s optional side feed out panels, the straw applicator also makes a great large square bale feeder.
Unlike most other large square bale feeders that tend to break the bale up biscuit by biscuit, the straw applicator will break the bale up more evenly and consistently leaving less residue and damage to the pastures.
Also, with its ability to feed the two bales together, it makes it a very quick and efficient way of feeding large square bales.
