Fordham Agricultural Machinery launched

-

Recently established, Fordham Agricultural Machinery is already working hard to establish its presence in the Australian market.

Novag low disturbance no-till direct seed drills were launched in early 2020, and are now making some headway in Australia. Carrfields Machinery Australia has sold the importation, sales and service business for Novag direct seed drills into Australia to Guy Fordham.

Guy has managed the Australian distribution for the last eight years and has a thorough understanding of the business from an operational perspective, as well as strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

“Our vision is to deliver products and services that will add value to your farming business,” he says.

“We will supply and support innovative agricultural machinery and technology to create opportunities for farmers and contractors to increase efficiencies and gain beneficial outcomes.”

Guy has spent his entire career in agriculture after being raised on a family farm in England.

After leaving the farm and progressing into retail distribution, he took the opportunity to meet new people, and experience many sides of the agriculture industry.

He moved to Australia in early 2003 and held the role of National Sales Manager for CLAAS, working closely with dealers to support and develop distribution before moving back into retail, where he says he enjoys working with farmers and contractors directly.

This allowed him to build relationships and earn trust with both suppliers and customers to create improved outcomes for all parties.

“My plan for this year is to develop my business whilst continuing the work that has already started with Novag T-ForcePlus seed drills and provide the necessary support,” he says.

We have a range of Novag direct seed drills operating across Tasmania, Victoria, and Southern NSW and we are pleased with their performance and how customers have been able to develop their seeding operations, reduce establishment costs, creating efficiencies and enhancing yields.

We have spent time seeking complimentary products and services to enhance our offering and our understanding has led us to believe that there is a need in some instances for remedial cultivation to alleviate sub soil compaction.

“We are pleased to announce the introduction of Grange Machinery to Australia and look forward to displaying machines at Farm World this year in March”.

This new range comprises of low disturbance soil looseners and we will be displaying Close-Coupled Toolbar (CCT) and Low-Disturbance Loosener (LDL) machines and look forward to introducing the Strip-Till preparator later in the year”.

This new range of equipment provides extra versatility with existing mounted and trailed implements when cultivating or drilling and will become a unique and integral part of your establishment process.

“I’m passionate about what farmers and contractors do and will do my best to develop and evolve my business to meet the demands that we are challenged with.

“I remain optimistic about the future and look forward to working with you, sharing information, and supplying and supporting innovative machinery.”
