SUZUKI 20-LITRE DRY BACKPACK

TESTED BY: Bruce MILES: 4,000+ TIME: 2 Years PRICE: £81 WEB: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-Bikes-UK- Official TEL: N/A When my GSX-R’s soft pannier burst into flames halfway up a mountain pass, my initial thought was to call my mum. But having realised my mum wouldn’t have been much help at extinguishing a flaming can of Lynx deodorant I manned up and dealt with the crisis like a big boy. Flames gone, the problem now was that the pannier was holed and about as useless as a chocolate fireguard. Thankfully, I was also carrying my Tardis-like Suzuki Dry Backpack, which seemed to consume all that I launched into it, including a heavyweight lock and chain, spare shoes, books and an abundance of other inordinate objects.

Considering the rucksack was already full before I ‘topped it up’, I gained a new level of appreciation for the tough and cavernous 20-litre pack, which carried my bits and bobs in safety for the remaining 1,500 miles of that trip, keeping them dry and secure at all times. From that point on, I’ve always turned to my Suzuki bag to lug stuff around (on and off the bike). It’s a tough cookie, with loads of pockets and a quick to access main chamber via a roll-top aperture. Inside there’s a dedicated slot frommy laptop and I’m also a fan of the easy access outer pocket on the front side, which is ideal for carrying essentials. The bag’s comfy to wear and has a chest and waist strap on it that helps relieve the strain from your shoulders. There are fancier and pricier bags on the market, but I’m really happy with this option. It’s a doer, not a sho’er and is well priced in my opinion.
