BERING VESUVIO HEATED GLOVES
The Bering Vesuvio heated gloves (or for ladies, the Oxsana) are a big step towards avoiding that pain as your fingers slowly thaw out during a winter ride. I used these at the back end of last winter and although they are not technically a ‘sport’ glove they kept me comfortable on and off the road in freezing temperatures.
The waterproof, soft shell textile glove carries adequate protection as well with a hard knuckle and reinforced palms and a double cuff Velcro fastening. Within each gauntlet is a pocket to slip in a 7.4V lithium battery which takes around three and a half hours to charge but will heat the glove for up to five hours on low heat, two and a half hours on high and somewhere in between for the medium heat.
The three heat button is easy to use on the move and even the LED indicator gives a warming red glow. With no wires or tapping into the bike’s battery, these gloves will continue to keep you warm when off the bike – ideally for me they would be leather with further hard protection but for £189.99 they are versatile and will keep me riding this winter. Definitely worth it for those toasty pinkies…
