The CB runs a ride-by-wire system and comes with three pre-set rider modes – rain, standard and sport. Mode selection affects the engine power, engine braking and torque control and varies depending on which gear you’re in. Navigation through the modes is fairly straightforward on the LCD using the switchgear, and it’s easy enough to do on the fly, provided the throttle is rolled completely off. There is a light in the corner of the dash that can be programmed to display a particular colour to tell you what mode you’re in, although it tells you that on the dash anyway. It can also be programmed to indicate gear position, ECO riding mode and as a shift light at whatever rpm you desire.
