WHEELIE FACTOR

The absence of a quickshifter on the Suzuki didn’t help it in the wheelie stakes, but in actual fact it wasn’t a bad bike to hoist up on one wheel. The peculiar thing about wheelieing the GSX-S is what happens when you put the front wheel down: the forks don’t seem to give at all and you get the feeling that if you were to land a little bit pissed-up, the forks would ask too much from the tyre and turn a small tank slapper into a big tank slapper. It never actually happened, but it wasn’t very confidence inspiring. 6/10
