HAVE A GO AT RACING

-

You might want to run this one past the better half before lining up on the grid, but racing a motorcycle is something everyone should experience at least once in their life. We’re not talking about top-level GP stuff, either. The scope for affordable club racing has never been greater, as our man Charlie highlighted recently with his CB500 jolly at Mallory Park. He had as much chance of winning a trophy as Boothy’s got of pulling a bird without rohypnol, but that wasn’t enough to put him off from getting stuck in and having a top time… and now he’s hooked! That said, the most natural way into the sport is via the No Limits Endurance Racing series, which sees riders of all levels, including complete newbies, teaming up with their mates, devoid of any pressure, riding whatever bike they can get their mitts on for what’s essentially a glorified trackday. It’s just you against the clock, banging in as many laps as you can before your cravings for a leg stretch and a slice of cake get the better of you. We really couldn’t recommend this route enough, so make sure to check out the No Limits Racing website for more details, or give the guys at NLR a shout for some sound advice on how to get started.
