CAMP OUT ON BIKES
We’re not saying you’ve got to pledge an allegiance to the Scouts, but if you’ve not been camping on a bike in a while (or ever), get it on your bucket list.
For starters it guarantees cheap accommodation, but the real hook is the laugh you’ll have if you go with the right group of mates. Camping and motorcycling are two things that should never really go together, because tents and suchlike are a bloody nuisance to lug around, but there is often a way if there is a will… and packing’s often a good part of the fun, even if it seems harder than solving a Rubik’s cube. Our advice is to pack the essentials, eat out and carry a couple of rolls of sticky tape to hold things in place when your bungies go walkies. You’ll probably not sleep. You’ll probably get cold. But you’ll probably have a bloody good time and remember the shenanigans for a long time yet to come. And if you want to share that torture with like-minded individuals, get yourself along to the Dragon Rally in Wales. It’s an annual gig that tests even the hardiest of bikers against the realities of frostbite on a scale like no other, all for the bargain price of just £25 per person. What are you waiting for?
When is it: February 9-10
