FAST BIKES MAGAZINE – Ducati boss confirms electric bike on the way!

Matthew Peach: Don’t they already have poor electrics? How will they manage an entire bike!

Gavin Greenall: Like all electric vehicles, not green and a waste of time. Hydrogen engines are a much better way to go and much greener to build and run. Extraction of raw materials to build the batteries is not green. Majority of the time you charge the vehicle, it’s coming from a nuclear or coal-fired power station, as green energy is not plenty full enough. Then the issue of charging when you don’t have a garage or can’t find a charging point. You can only go so far on a charge, and so on and so on, etc.

Ian Souter: So big scooter then, no thanks. I like gears, engine noise, like to go out for a ride for the day and not spend three hours charging the bike.

Dean Birkumshaw: As another form of propulsion I’m cool with it, but the whole ramming down our throats constantly with ‘electric’ this and ‘e’ that does my brain in. It shouldn’t be a replacement, but more an alternative.

Rich Fred West: Wouldn’t be my choice, but it’s inevitable - we are living in the last years of the internal combustion engine - enjoy it while u can.

Neil Batho: Thankfully I’m a bit too long in the tooth to be overly worried about it.

Antony Joyce: Loud pipes save lives! Torque will be epic though, 0-60 1 second? Rory Hidrio: Inevitable, won’t be long be they all start developing leccy bikes for the average joe. Getting in there early might be a good idea.
