OXFORD PRODUCTS ALL WEATHER OVER SUIT
When you draw back your curtains and the trees are bent double by the wind and the dull sky is awash with horizontal rain, you might think twice about taking the bike out. Realistically you have got three options. 1. Go back to bed. 2. Take thecar (or the bus). 3. Be a man, wrap yourself up and brave the weather. Now, if riding to work all through winterisyour modus operandi, then you want to be looking at something a bit more substantial than this over suit from Oxford, although it is perfect for throwing over the top of your normal riding gear as an extra layer of protection. It is really light, and provided you have got a large enough size, you forget you are wearing it. If you wear it over the top of a‘race suit’ with knee sliders and a speed hump, you might find that the fit is a little awkward and restricts your movement a bit, soit’s best to whip your Winona Ryders off, if you can. Once it’s on,it does a really good job of keeping the rain off you and it acts like a bit of a wind break, too. The flapthat covers the diagonal zip stops any water getting through there. I have done quite a few miles wearing this, but I have done a hell of a lot more with it in the bottom of my rucksack – it folds up into a small sack so it’s dead handy to carry around with you in case the weather should take a turn for the worse. For the price, you can’t go wrong.
